Part of the cost I could get back from the "specialist" workshop in Tübingen, but the cost was still substantial.

So I ordered a refurbished in Dortmund short engine from a remanufacturer with brand new cylinder head (invoice available)! been
That is, the head is a brand new refurbished hull motor (cylinder walls, pistons, bearings, etc.) are set. The units were still best fit, the then 148,000 km're "nothing" at the T4 diesel. door frame trim Inenraum:
The original panel of the door frame on the passenger seat (where the door falls) in the course of time become cracked. I have them at some point completely removed, no longer falls on me ...



headliner
This is made of thick gray "leather" and had once dissolved in a few places (the glue did not probably). The whole was then fixed by me with two beautiful curved aluminum rails fit-looks good, I think.



Small rust
As I said, not critical and not too distracting. On the edges below are a few places 2-3cm long "Roststellchen" back of the tailgate very slight rust (3 cm) on the edge. At the sill on the driver's door is a slightly larger piece on the fold-ünerhaupt not critical, but could make it even ;-)
Overall muuuch the paint better than most younger Baucjahre was used because as I said from 92/93 water-based paint. The rust was much more susceptible ...
